Cogeco Webmail is a service provided by Cogeco Cable that allows you to access your Cogeco email online. You simply need a computer connected to the internet and BLAT! You have access to your email wherever you are.

If you want to access your Cogeco email account via Cogeco Webmail you obviously need
to be a customer of Cogeco Cable and have a Cogeco Cable internet account. The Cogeco internet account will provide you with a Cogeco email address and password. When you have
all of this information follow the steps below;

1. Access webmail.cogeco.ca
2. On the right hand side menu choose Webmail
3. Enter your Cogeco email address and secret password
4. Hit submit and you will be logged into your account

Once in your Cogeco Webmail account you have access to send email, read email, setup forwarding options, email rejection list, search email messages, view and create folders, manage signatures, manage filters and rules, create a email address book and much more.

The Cogeco Webmail service is an excellent addition to your Cogeco email. Most of the time when you
setup your email in a client such as, outlook express, Eudora, Outlook or whatever, your email is centralized to the perticular machine that you have setup your email on. For example if you setup your email in Outlook Express on your home computer, you are able to send and receive email to that specific machine only. Therefore, if you go to a friends house you will not be able to access your email unless you setup your Cogeco email account on that specific machine as well. This can be a pain and create a security issue. Who wants there email address setup on multiple computers that they don’t use on a ongoign basis? Cogeco Webmail comes in handy, allowing the Cogeco customer a fast and efficient means of accessing their Cogeco email from any computer that has a internet connection. Once you log out of the Cogeco Webmail service your cogeco email account access is closed, whereas, if you did it the other way you would have to delete all the settings manually every time you wanted to check your email remotely and then you would have to remove access to the account afterward.

Cogeco Cable gives it’s internet customers the opportunity to have multiple email addresses. But, please contact them for complete details and for the exact number available for each internet tier. Each cogeco internet customer is given a cogeco email address at signup. If you do not know your cogeco email address it would be best to contact their technical support department where they can provide you with or change this information. The default password for a new cogeco email address should be the last 8 digits of your cogeco account number. But you should change the default password on your cogeco email address due to security concerns. Whatever password you use will also be the same password that you use to access your cogeco email via Cogeco Webmaill.
